Laura Gee is a London-based visual artist whose mark-making, colour and painterly gestures explore nature, a sense of place and time, emotions, motherhood and mental health.
Her playful, colourful works have been exhibited at The Garden Museum, Bankside Gallery and Dulwich Picture Gallery, and are held in private collections worldwide.
Laura’s work has been publicly commissioned, In 2023 Imperial Health Charity commissioned an installation of 15 works for the new mental health unit at St Mary’s Hospital, London. In 2024 UCLH Arts and Heritage Charity commissioned paintings for the outpatient department at UCLH; Laura’s work now appears across seven clinics and the reception area, chosen to have a positive impact on patients and staff.
Alongside her practice, Laura has run nature-inspired art workshops for The Garden Museum, Hackney Arts Charity, Hospital Rooms, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and primary schools in London (ages 3–11).
Her art explores emotions such as anxiety, peace, love, grief, certainty, uncertainty, hope, and joy. She is developing workshops for mothers to explore emotions during motherhood and boost their wellbeing.
